Got pregnancy cravings?

I know all about that, mama!

In addition to my favorite strategies of upgrading pregnancy food cravings and transforming pregnancy sugar cravings, I also have some standard swaps that I love! These ideas are all focused on satisfying that underlying flavor craving, and delivering nutrients without any artificial ingredients. Yes, please!

Here are my favorite go-to swaps for common pregnancy cravings

Swap ice cream for sweetened yogurt, or sweeten some plain yogurt with a little maple syrup.

My go-to during pregnancy was vanilla sheep’s milk yogurt from Bellwether Farms.

Swap an ice cream shake for a fruit smoothie

If you’re craving chocolate, try a peanut butter banana smoothie with dates. Similar taste that can really hit the spot!

Swap cookies for energy balls

You can even add cacao or chocolate chips to make it more cookie-like!

Swap doughnuts for sourdough toast with honey and butter

For optimal benefits, choose long fermented (traditional style) sourdough bread, grass-fed butter, and local honey.

Swap brownies and cakes for avocado cocoa pudding

Swap potato chips for olives

My fav are garlic stuffed manzanita olive (drool). You can also try out my Sea Salt + Vinegar Kale Chips recipe! or munch on some dried seaweed snacks for that salty flavor.
