I guide women through pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood using real food, herbs and holistic lifestyle practices.
I’m passionate about helping you lose the stress and make healthy habits feel easy.
My own motherhood journey started out a little rocky…
I’ll give it to you straight. I had an awesome first pregnancy. My home birth was challenging yet empowering. And then… postpartum completely kicked my ass.
I was not AT ALL prepared for the massive changes that went down in my body and life. Worst of all… I was not prepared in the most important aspect… food.
I cringe to say it (I’m a health coach after all!) but at the time everything else seemed more important and I totally failed to do any planning or meal prepping in advance of my baby being born.
As a result, I felt like I was straight starving every single day for months on end (it turns out nutrition is super important for prenatal AND postnatal mamas, especially those breastfeeding!). I wound up with mild postnatal depletion and thyroid issues. But I did gain a newfound respect for this phase of life and a seed was planted within me that would eventually grow into the Wildflower Medicine that you see today.
Fast forward to one year postpartum and surprise— I was pregnant again!
I knew that if I was gonna make it out of this thing on top I would have to seriously take care of myself this time around. Like on a whole new level.
So that’s exactly what I did.
I nourished myself so deeply during my pregnancy that I had a way smoother experience than my first time around. Even my birth was smoother! And as for postpartum… I prepped ahead like crazy and it was absolutely glorious! I created a system and stocked my freezer to the brim with nutrition packed recovery meals for the fourth trimester so that after my second baby was born, I didn’t have to cook for months! I ate like a queen every single day.
And the results… my postpartum was healing for my mind, body, and soul. Physically I healed so much faster. I had more energy. I slept better. My hormones felt more stable. I was more at ease and less stressed. I was able to transition into a new mother with ease and grace that felt incredible.
I realized that this new reality could be the same for other mamas too.
Our society has normalized mamas feeling completely rundown and miserable, but I know from experience that it doesn’t have to be this way.
I believe motherhood is meant to be enjoyed after all. And in order to enjoy the ride (and take exceptional care of your family) you have to start by filling your own cup.
You deserve to eat well and feel well, especially during the childbearing years. In fact, it’s imperative for your family’s wellbeing that you do.
Motherhood can be hella challenging, absolutely amazing, and completely sacred (all at the same time!).
Mamas just need a little guidance on their journey. If we don’t have a full on tribe (#ItTakesAVillage), then we all at least need an informed holistic badass Yoda mama who’s been in our shoes to show us the way.
That’s where I come in.
I teach mamas the best foods to eat for this season of life. How to shop, cook and food prep like a boss. How to utilize healing herbs and natural remedies. And I’ll show you the real life strategies and practices needed to consistently implement a healthy lifestyle. This is how we make natural livin’ and real food fun again.
Your village starts right here, mama.
xoxo

Get to know me, rapid fire!
I live in Pismo Beach, CA with my husband, two sons, and two kitties (somehow I hold it down as the sole female in our casa).
We may live at the beach but we’re definitely forest people at heart.
I have a BA degree in Film and Media from UC Santa Barbara.
I’m a Certified Vinyasa Yoga Instructor and a Level II Reiki Practitioner.
My favorite herb is Holy Basil.
I’ve been involved with my family’s charity, UCEFA, since I was young. We help bring safe drinking water to remote villages in Ghana, West Africa. I continue to donate to this cause every year.
I spent almost a decade working farmers markets up and down the CA coast from Santa Monica to San Francisco. Talking about real food with tens of thousands of people was largely influential on my unique perspective on food and health.
I worked in sales for a local pork farm while I was vegan because I believed if people were going to eat meat it should be sustainably and ethical raised.
I birthed both of my children at home, which was extremely empowering. I did hypno birthing the second time and loved it.
I’ve identified as vegan, vegetarian, pescadarian, paleo, locavore, and omnivore. These days I feel best eating a more ancestrally aligned diet. I believe in experimentation, eating with the seasons, and bio-individuality.
Find me at farmers market, wine tasting, gardening, hiking, thrift store shopping, or boogying at Burning Man.
Thanks for getting to know me!
