Welcome to my first ever Black Friday guide! It’s 2024, baby!
While I personally have a bit of a love-hate relationship with Black Friday, there's no denying that you can save a ton of money this time of year, especially if you're buying things you would buy anyways.
Today I'm sharing some of my favorite health and wellness related deals for mamas, babies, and the whole family. I know I'll be taking advantage of these deals and I hope they can be helpful for you too!
Serenity Kids- healthy veggie pouches for babies and toddlers
I LOVE these pouches (and I rarely say that about a processed food!). They only contain vegetables and olive oil (healthy fat is good for littles and helps them absorb the fat soluble nutrients in the veggies), and some of the pouches also contain high quality meat (like grass-fed beef or wild salmon). They're made using regeneratively grown veggies and meats. There are zero added sugars or fruits of any kind. Aside from home cooked food, this is definitely the snack I most often give to my toddlers. 10/10 recommend keeping a few of these in the pantry, car, or purse just in case. Also perfect for travel.

Souper Cubes- silicone freezer molds
If you've been following me for a while, you likely know that I'm a HUGE Souper Cubes fan!! Freezer meal prep is my specialty and I get asked all the time how I freeze my food in perfectly portioned cubes. Souper Cubes are non-toxic silicone molds that you can bake and freeze in. They make heating up just a small portion of food at a time extremely easy and it's a very efficient use of freezer space.I've had many mothers tell me that Souper Cubes have changed the way they meal prep-- for the better!

Rosita- cold pressed cod liver oil
Cod Liver Oil is a superfood!!! This is perhaps the most perfect way to get healthy omega 3s, including DHA into your diet. DHA in particular is really important for babies brain development, so it's something we want to include during pregnancy, postpartum (especially when breastfeeding, but even when not to replete your own stores!) and it can safely be given to babies and toddlers. I started giving CLO to each of my babies with a spoon starting around 1 year old. Baby Sky is six months and he'll probably get it sooner! CLO also contains substantial amounts of vitamins A and D, which are critical for immune health and are fat soluble. As Dr. Weston A. Price discovered in his traveling studies, this really is a wonderful food based supplement! I've been taking the Rosita brand, which is line caught and cold pressed so it's just about as pure as it can get. I give my babies the liquid option and personally I like to take the capsules.

Smidge- infant probiotic
We all know how important supporting our microbiome is for our overall health-- and this starts with our babies from day one! Well, really it starts in utero, and that's why it's important for mamas to take care of their guts during pregnancy! But once baby is on the outside, we need to care for their guts ASAP. If your baby't gut has been potentially compromised by things like antibiotics (given to baby or mama during pregnancy), a C-section delivery, formula feeding (not talking down on these choices at all-- just recognizing that there may need to be some extra care taken here!), or is experiencing frequent illness, I would highly recommend giving them a probiotic. Smidge makes an infant probiotic in powder form that is the tiniest amount that can be added to a bottle, food, or simply put on your breast before breastfeeding. They make adult probiotics too.

Primally Pure- natural skincare
This non-toxic biz makes my favorite natural deodorant. I don't normally wear deodorant but I bought it for my last postpartum (shout out to the Blue Tansy scent!) and it was GREAT. Let's be real-- postpartum can be kinda stinky. And very sweaty. I made it part of my very simple morning routine to put on some deodorant to freshen up and this actually did wonders for keeping my postpartum spirits high. :)

Wishgarden Herbs- Tinctures for pregnancy, postpartum, lactation, kids and beyond
This is my go-to brand for high quality tinctures for the child bearing year. Their pregnancy line includes tinctures specifically for things like morning sickness, digestive upset, sleep help, and stress relief. Their postpartum and lactation line includes things like pain relief for after birth contractions, breast milk support, breast milk reduction (for those needing that instead), baby blues help, hormone regulation support etc. I've bought and used all of these and loved them. I'm also a big fan of their kids line which includes toddler safe immune boosters, elderberry syrup, sleep help, etc. My husband really likes their sleep and stress support blends. If you want an easy, safe way to get herbs into your life, this is it!

Kindred Bravely- pregnancy and postpartum apparel
I'll just say it- they make the comfiest underwear I've ever owned! I love their bamboo panties but their "grow with me" undies made for a growing pregnancy belly are also lovely (they still fit postpartum and beyond too). I also purchased their bamboo robe for my last postpartum and it's fabulous, I literally lived in that thing every day for a couple months. Only took it off when it was way too milk stained and needed to go in the laundry! They also make a variety of maternity clothes, pumping and breastfeeding bras, etc.

Azra- non-toxic, paleo certified makeup
I treated myself to a few of their products last Black Friday and I love them! Their makeups are considered "paleo" and are truly lovely. I bought a foundation test, blush, lip gloss, and eye shadow. All of them feel very lightweight and natural on my skin. I enjoy the experience of using them because they add a little flair, but I know they're not harming my health in the process!

Needed- perinatal supplements
While I strongly support a food first approach to nutrition, supplements can absolutely play a vital role in health, especially during preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum. Needed makes high quality supplements using bioavailable forms of ingredients and vigorous third party testing. Needed has an excellent variety of supplements too. I use their collagen powder in my coffee every single day to help me hit my morning protein goals, and take the Sleep and Relaxation Support in the evening in place of a glass of wine as a nice way to unwind. I also keep their electrolyte packets on hand at all time. Highly recommend!
