Hi, I'm Clare

Certified Health Coach, Herbalist, food prepping extraordinaire, and mama of two

I guide women through pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood using real food, herbs and holistic lifestyle practices.

I’m passionate about helping you lose the stress and make healthy habits feel easy.

My own motherhood journey started out a little rocky…

I’ll give it to you straight. I had an awesome first pregnancy. My home birth was challenging yet empowering. And then… postpartum completely kicked my ass.

I was not AT ALL prepared for all of the massive changes that went down in my body and life. Worst of all… I was not prepared in the most important aspect… food.

I cringe to say it (I’m a health coach after all!) but at the time everything else seemed more important and I totally failed to do any organizing or meal prepping in advance of my baby being born. As a result, I felt like I was straight starving every single day for months on end (it turns out nutrition is super important for prenatal AND postnatal mamas!). It sucked. I wound up with mild postnatal depletion and thyroid issues. But I did gain a newfound respect for this phase of life and a seed was planted within me that would eventually grow into the Wildflower Medicine that you see today.

Fast forward to one year postpartum and surprise— I was pregnant again!

I knew that if I was gonna make it out of this thing on top I would have to seriously take care of myself this time around. Like on a whole new level.

So that’s exactly what I did.

I nourished myself so deeply during my pregnancy that I had a way smoother experience than my first time around. Even my birth was smoother! And as for postpartum… I prepped ahead like crazy and it was absolutely glorious! I stocked my freezer to the brim with nutrition packed recovery meals for the fourth trimester so that after my second baby was born, I didn’t have to cook for months! I ate like a queen every single day.

And the results… I had just about the best postpartum experience I could have imagined. Physically I healed so much faster. I had more energy. I slept better. My hormones felt more stable. I was more at ease and less stressed. I was able to transition into a new mother with ease and grace that felt incredible.

I realized that this new reality could be the same for other mamas too.

For some crazy reason society has normalized mamas feeling completely rundown and miserable, but I know from experience that it doesn’t have to be this way.

I believe motherhood is meant to be enjoyed.

YOU deserve to eat well and feel well, especially during the childbearing years.

It can be hella challenging, absolutely amazing, and completely sacred (all at the same time!).

I also know that it’s far too easy for mamas to stray from healthy habits during this time— but this is when it’s actually more important than ever to eat healthy foods and live a balanced lifestyle.

Mamas just need a little guidance on their journey. If we don’t have a full on tribe (#ItTakesAVillage), then we all at least need an educated crunchy yoda mama to show us the way.

That’s where I come in.

That’s why I teach mamas the strategies and practices needed to consistently implement a healthy lifestyle. You deserve to feel well and eat the specific foods your body needs during this season of life.

Your village starts right here, mama.

I believe that food is the foundation. Food not only creates our physical bodies (and our babies!), but it also shapes our lives. its what creates true health and gives us energy so we can live life to the fullest. There is no more important time to embrace this reality than during the childbearing years.

  • I’ve spent years working farmers markets up and down the CA coast from Santa Monica to San Francisco.

  • I birthed both of my children at home, which was extremely empowering. I did hypno birthing the second time.

  • I worked in sales for a local pork farm while I was vegan because I believed if people were going to eat meat it should be sustainably and ethical raised.

  • I’ve been vegan, vegetarian, pescadarian, paleo, locavore, and omnivore. These days I feel best eating a more ancestrally aligned diet. I believe in experimentation, eating with the seasons, and bio-individuality.
